Just think how lucky you are...

you could have been caught doing +100mph.

72mph in 50mph? I would have pulled you over too...22mph over the limit.

you don't get to go to traffic school or anything like that to clear up that point. it's yours to keep.

Why can't he...
Send the ticket in and plead not guilty... show up for court & hopefully they'll send u to Traffic school & reduce it... thats what the like to do in three towns around here cuz then the town gets the money as opposed to the state if you plead guilty... I've had 3 tickets & NO POINTS... all were reduced to parking and one was a 70 ina 35 hee hee
I don't speed anymore, at least, not that much over.

Second alternative... I was told this, i don't know if it works for sure, I asked my aunt (was going to be a cop and her husband is... he said he wasnt sure, but worth a try)
Is plead guilty... send in your fine, but write the check over 5 bucks or so... they will have to send you back a check for the difference, DONT CASH IT!!!!!! Until it is cashed, the case remains open, the points dont go on your license

thasss shady... but hey if it works let me know and hahahaha.. i got a ticket too not long ago. well to my understanding if you plead not guilty, go to court, judge says you are guilty then no traffic school nor do you get point reduction.

That is a bull**** story that has been going around the 'net! It's simply not true! It all started on this rumor from Australia about some getting away with it (maybe) down under. It will not work here and you will simply be out 5 more dollars. Search around the 'net, you'll see that this is a flat out lie.

Not eligible for dismissal per 40610 VC means that what you received is not a "fix-it" ticket that could be corrected and then written off after proof of correction.

On your cite it will either be a violation of section 22350 or 22349, either of which are in fact eligible for traffic school. For 22 miles over the limit, your fine should be in the $110 to $129 range. Just wait for the courtesy notice from the court in about 3 weeks.

BTW- Usually only 2 point violations (reckless, speed contest, DUI) are automatically ineligible for traffic school.
