considering upgrading the paper things with real speakers. I've got the 120W system right now but when i crank the mother up i start losing clarity (i'm sure you've experienced this). What are the speaker sizes of all six locations and possible an assembly for the sub in the back.

danke.

The front and rear doors are 6 1/2 inch speakers. The tweeters are 1 inch I think, but not 100% sure.

hrm... 6" or 6-1/2"?

HAH! and how in the world do i get into them? i used to have an old 528e which i just got something sharp and lifted the grille from the speakers... i'm not too sure, but it looks like the grill of the speakers is part of the door. correct me, please.

Door speakers...

The front panels have to be removed...
Pop the window switch off, unscrew the handle, etc, pull the panel, and pull some of the harnesses and the speaker is right there. I want to say it's a 6 1/2...but, i have a GXE so, i'm not sure if the size is different. I want to upgrade mine something soon...

speakersizes

The doors will take anything from a 6'' to 6 3/4'' bt it is the depth you must be carful of. we only have about
~2 1/2'' of clearance or so. So be carfull of what you get.

If you have

the upgraded Bose system, I don't think it is as simple as swapping the speakers. I think the Bose speakers are like a 2 ohms or something with built in amps.
