no seperate adjustment...
you have to play with the lower bolt. I take my headlights out and screw in the lower bolt (clockwise) to make the point down and screw out (counterclockwise) the lower bolt to aim them high.

WTF?? this thread is...interesting...considering this has been discussed about 6 times every day for the past 2 years, only one person has said so??

anyways the ebay projectors are known to be HORRIBLE...they have no light output and a horrible beam pattern, and worst of all, they look horrible all at the same time...

Surprise surprise... the eBay projectors suck... sorry man, but there were plenty of warnings/threads.... just do the MDX retrofit using Dr. Roy's write-ups...

actually, Dr.Roy got rid of his MDX setup in his projectors. He upgraded to e46 projectors(3 series) and he said they fit even better than the MDX halogens, plus no need to modd the bowl of E46 projectors because they're already made for D2S capsules. Not to mention... the awesome output of Bosch hid projector units!

Yeah, I think I saw that thread... but I was just saying that in general, this guy would be better off with any one of those set-ups that Dr Roy had, definitely better than these eBay projectors, and he has all the write-ups on his home page, at least most of em....

even to the original poster, it's not a matter of adjusting...it's just because these lights SUCK, so they don't put out light..that was the whole point.

the thing is we already know the light output sucks... it keeps on getting beat like a dead horse! Hell, i dont blame you guys about getting pissed off about how sucky the projectors are either, but he also did ask about aiming. I mean, his title of his thread was "aiming".

Anyways, to save bandwith, i swear this should be in the FAQ's. Shoot, we should even put the PMS in the sticky's of the 5th gen.
ftp://68.59.66.252/maxima.html

but yeah, once again, the H3 projectors suck.

They wont light up as well as ur stock ones because they are halogen h3s. H3's are made for wide but short beam patterns so they suck as low beams. If you want to do the work and get the best lighting available, sell the stock 2k2 headlight housings and d2r bulbs and get some tsx, valeos, or bosh e46 projectors and some d2s bulbs. Do the easy retrofit and when you are done with that, you'll know what HIDs are.

did you use a drill?

sometimes that the only way to get the projectors to change aim drastically.
only mess with the lower screw though since that has a more drastic effect on the angle of the beam.

depends on what you get, but for the HID package themselves it could run you around $450 for projectors, ballast, and bulbs. Ebay though, is the best bet for stuff. They sell ballast and bulbs for around $200 and projectors for $170 9like the tsx or valeos). If you want a cheap upgrade but still some decently good HIDs, you can get the 04-05 MDX headlights for $20 a piece on ebay and it comes with shrouds and bezels. Hope this helps.
