Ugly hole....any ideas how to cover?
Ugly hole....any ideas how to cover?
Guys.....I was my Max's passenger seat a few days ago (daughter learning how to drive stick) and as I was looking over from right to left, I noticed the hideously large rectangular hole in the steering column surrounding the right-hand control wand...the one that controls the wipers, wiper wash function, etc.
Anyone know of anybody who makes a 'cover' or a maybe even a little 'boot' like the leather boots that ara available for the handbrake?
Damn, that would look really nice..a small leather boot to cover up that hideous hole....any ideas?

I've never noticed that, I'm going to have to take a look when I get in my car this afternoon. A self fabricated boot from a shifter should do the trick I presume. Just hot glue it from the inside. Would probably require removing a few covers.

Never sat in the passenger's seat. In fact, I don't think I could bear the thought of teaching someone to drive stick in my baby (especially since it's an auto, but that's another story all together...).
Post pics if you find a way to fill it!

i have a 6-speed and my girlfriend wanted to learn to drive standard...you know how hard that was?? after about 20 min. of her trying to persuade me, i said alright, but after she stalled for the 3rd time, i told her to get out
she actually understood and didn't bite my head off...
