Leather Ripping?

In my 2001 gle the drivers side leather seat has about a 1 inch 1 1/2 inch hole in it. Anyone know of a cheaper way to fix this and the leather around the seams is crackin a little bit also.

That is exactly what happen to me. I'll bet I can even tell you where the hole is. It's on the side closest to the door, back before the rear cusion (?). I waited till the last week before my warranty was up last year and took it in. They replaced it under the warranty. I believe the replacement cover isn't too bad a price. Or you can take it to a good upholsterier as the cover comes off very easily. He/She can sew in a new panel. As far as the stiching goes .... if it's bad you need a replacement. Good luck.
