I went by a local NOPI store this weekend (in Atlanta) and inquired about clear front markers for the 2ks. I thought somebody had said NOPI had once advertised them.

The salesman guy said they did not carry any and wondered why my car came with clear rear side markers. :-) I had to tell him I bought those and they did not come stock on the car. Too many Honda patrons, I suppose...

I was wondering if there was a close enough match from another type vehicle for a clear front side marker enough so that it could be modified to fit a 2k? I have a few ideas on how to make it work, but need something at least close in shape and size (and preferably already clear lense color). I just want the lense and don't necessarily care about the stuff on the back (which holds the bulb).

Any ideas?

The closest right now is probably....

the rear clear marker from the Max. I have not seen another car with that shape around. Courtesy Nissan told me a while back that they may have these in the future, but not yet. And Nopi don't know what they are talkin bout either!

On the nopi website (www.nopi.com) they say that they have the clear front markers.

I ordered some a couple of weeks ago, and after

a few weeks of waiting, I called and they told me they ran out and it would take a few months to get anymore. So they gave me a refund. But bottom line is that they don't have any even though they have it on their website, from my knowledge. Unless things have changed.

Update

I spoke to NOPI today. They said that the clear front lenses would be available from APC next month after the SEMA show.

We'll see!

I went down to NOPI again about special ordering some. I took the part number. I'm on a mission now.

They said APC not open until Monday. I called APC directly yesterday (Monday). They said they have the rears in stock. I asked about the fronts. They said they planned on making them, but have not and could not give me a date. The guy on the phone was ho-hum.

Oh, well. I give up.

Don't know for sure, but think if you have clear side marker lights you must add an amber relector to the front fenders in order to be legal...
