Help...Please!!!

My front driver side wheel bearing is shot, so I need to replace it. Right now I am trying to remove the center axle nut. For some darn reason it on there really tight. I've used plenty of penetrating oil and a long breaker bar. I've managed to loosen the nut where the leading edge of it is at the cotter pin hole, but from this point on, it just won't budge. Has anyone had/heard of this problem before. Please give me some suggestions, ASAP because I am trying my best to turn in my hub assembly to my local machine shop to have the new bearing pressed in before they close tonight. Thank you in advance.

Where you able to get the nut off? Did you try putting a tube over the breaker bar for more leverage? The only other things that I can think of are a dremel with a cutoff wheel to cut the nut or impact wrench.

I got that nut off by using a six foot pipe for leverage. Even with that pipe, I had to put a lot of weight on it.

Thank you guys for the help. I eventually had to cut the nut with a hammer and chisel. Apparently, the nut was crossthreaded for some reason. I don't believe I was the one who crossthreaded this nut becauase I don't ever recall taking off this nut ever. Weird. Now I have ordered a remanufactored half shaft along with a new hub since the wheel bearing damaged the original hub. Talk about bad luck. Since I am at it and waiting for my parts, its a good time to install the Cattman's ES Suspension front control arm bushings on both sides. I guess that's a good thing.
