tire size change and speedo calibration

I have a 2000 and was wondering what's involved with calibrating the speedo if you do a tire change. I know on a Ford F150 you can change a plastic piece that the cable plugs into on the tranny but was wondering what it is on the Max.

On big trucks they do because they are changing to overall diameter (i.e. lift kit gives more clearance thus bigger tires) but on our cars you can only pack so much wheel/tire under the fenders. If you run 20" then you'll have to use a smaller tire sidewall. I would say that the diameter might be off by 1% or so.

Bottom Line=I wouldn't worry about it.

These aren't F-150's, and with cars, typically when you increase wheel diamter you decrease tire sidewall height to compensate to leave the overall total diameter constant, or very near it.
