Nissan Caliper Stickers *pics*

I wasn't sure how these would look, but they turned out to look pretty nice. I did a Black G2 paint for the calipers last year and finally got around to putting these on, they're sliver to match the black and the color of the car. Took about half an hour and they only fit on the front two calipers, so I have an extra 2 sets. I sell em for $4.00 per set. PM if interested.

i think caliper stickers are made differently than other stickers to stand up to the heat; my friend has had some on his sc300 for months and they're still on there.

Where do we get stickers? How much do they cost? I just painted mine red for my black max and I wouldnt mind a few stickers that add some POP to em.

Nope.

I bought these last month, had them on for almost a month now. Daily driving averaging 25 miles a day, last weekend put on over 8 hours of driving in one day, Louisiana and Texas heat (it was 102 degrees in Houston yesterday), and the stickers are still great.

You put them on, spray a little clear coat on it, and call it the day.

Hey Pri63 - next time USE PHOTO EDITOR and scale down your pics a bit. Sheesh. Talk about bandwidth trouble.

There is a thread with the website to order the stickers somewhere in the forums... I don't have the URL with me, offhand. $5 each.

ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I've been wanting to do the EXACT same thing to my calipers for like a couple of months but I'm too lazy to actually do it. Have you been stalking me listening for mod ideas or what man????

I assume this is where you got them. Too bad they don't make a Hamburger shaped one for the rear. That would make the whole package really nice. I will probably buy a set whenever I paint my calipers. Nice find.

I work with vinyl every day. Some vinyls will stand up to heat, but not forever, and once it gets dirty it will be hard to clean.

Painting would be your best bet for the long term.

I posted about this a while back and apparently it doesn't matter which way the slotted. However, if they face forward, I think the stopping is better but the pad wear is greater. One set has been sold, and the other set has been called for.

The slots should face towards the rear of the car. The hot gasses will then exit from the inside of the rotors out.

You must learn about the interweb.

The only bandwidth those pictures are using, is from the site they are hosted on. Those pictures are not attached to the maxima.org server.

mine

I also did the Vinyl Stickers on my calipers. I painted them red with about 3 coats, let them dry a day. My friend who works at the shop I get all my work done for the max cut NISSAN Logos out of heavy duty silver vinyl.
Auto Image & Security Bricktown NJ ( Central New Jersey Meet June 4th )
I put them on all 4 calipers and then used a High Temp Clearcoat, about 5 coats and all has been great since. No peeling or cracking whatsover.

Nahh. Cleans right up just fine.

That's why we said to put CLEAR COAT on them.

And these seem to be the vinyl that stand up to heat.

hct67, I love how yours turned out because you made the Nissan letters smaller and painted a part of the pads red as well. For some reason the larger letters make the caliper look tiny.

I just did the same mod to my brakes. I painted them silver then used the stickers and painted the caliper black, then peeled up the stickers. Came out great, take a look!
