Maybe i shouldve worded it differently. Im just looking for some opinions from peeps about what they personally found most effective/important and would choose as a starting point if they could do it all over again.
When i want to know the science behind how a o2 sensor works, i'll read the faq again.
Don't get mad bro Thanks for the info on your homepage about the window squeak, btw.

I think the whole thing is that members are getting more and more fed up with the "what should I do" threads... do what YOU want to do. Read through the stickies, pay $$ to search (or search on Google or Yahoo), and get creative ideas for either modding OR fixing (it was through searching that I found out more about the VIAS fix on my 2k). Sooner or later the mods are going to ban the "what should I do, guys?" posts.

Next to a y-pipe, the next best bang-for-the-buck mod would be FSTB & RSB....

well, nitrous would be cool if commuted to work or drove to the club on the Autobahn, but i cant be going over 85 down the highway without a large penalty after i get pulled over. Then again i could park at the tacobell parking lot at 2am and show off my nitrous to the hoes

I am just starting myself and i have decided to start with a frankencar intake and cat-back exhaust, the cattman headers are expensive but also a great Bang for your buck if your more interested in making your car look good then just go with some new rims.

I hope that comment wasn't directed towards me? My "other" car has heads/cam/LT's/nitrous, I think that counts as "real mods."

And just to let you know, without any "real mods" my other car went 12.119 @ 115.47 on a crappy 1.876 60'... that was just with your said "lazy" mod... so like I said best bang for your buck = nitrous. Oh yeah and on a low bottle pressure 100 shot the car picked up 102rwhp and 140rwtq.

maybe for track use, nitrous would be "the best bang for your buck" (i shouldve never used those words when i started this post,im sick of seeing it). Now,i know nothing about nitrous or cost, but isnt it fairly expensive and you can only use it a few times before you have to re-up and buy some more?
I'm looking for: spend the money, have lasting results. I just needed advice such as......if you only have money for one thing at this point, spend 250 on a CAI,rather than 200 on a UDP,because you'll get more out of it.
As far as nitrous,if you dont race at the track, what are you doing with it? 130mph down a residential street for 20 seconds? thats impractical for street driving..
Just say "cop a y-pipe and shut up"
