Auto tranny concerns

Auto tranny concerns
I have an 03 with the auto tranny. My tranny shifts have been getting quite harsh in any gear and with any amount of throtle. Even with slight throttle applied it jolts into the next gear. Also it frequently hesitates to find the next gear when up-shifting. I wouldn't quite call it slipping, but not normal for any auto tranny or how this car acted when newer. It has 36,xxx miles on it. My wife drives the car most of the time and it isn't really raced, except for getting on it every once and a while, but not very often, nor has it ever seen any track time. Does anyone think a flush could get rid of the problem or is this a concern I should bring up with the dealer(I have the ext. warranty). If taking it to the dealer, how should I address the issue so as have it completely covered by the warranty. Any help/opinions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jesse

Your best bet is you schedule a test drive with one of their techs. Cause when I went in and told them the issue they had my car all day, and told me they couldn't duplicate the problem. I did this three times with them until I had a tech ride with me. As soon as we got on the road he was like oh I felt that. They had to replace a lot I'll post the details a little later I'm about to leave out.

Thanks to all who replied. After reading the TSB 04035 it pretty much sums up what I'm experiencing. Definately the "shift shock" with "Slip" and "Improper shift timing" occuring every once and a while.
Here is the link to the TSB for anyone intrested:http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissan/TSB/MayII/54489.asp
Thanks again,

And here is the Nissan Publications homepage to look up other TSB's as well as manuals, etc.

Update.
Had a ride along with a service tech at Academy Nissan. Go figure that the tranny didn't want to act the way it usually does. He said that he felt a little shift shock, but nothing too abnormal. They wanted a tranny flush done before they would look at it again (which it needed done like 6k ago anyway). They offered it @ $139.00 and I kindly said no thanks. The tech then described how I could do it myself (which I already knew thanks to the ORG, but I wasn't going to pass up free info). I did the flush with pan drop/screen cleaning and will be taking it back in 3 days. They want to run diagnostics and reprogram the ECM with the latest updates. So far no hassle. Since the Flush with Mobil 1 Synthetic I haven't noticed a difference in shifting as I had hoped. I think I maybe spoiled with how smoothly the 5-speed auto shifts in my Titan though. Hopefully the computer reprogram helps out, if not it is still under warranty. I just hate leaving the car there for extended periods of time or going back over and over until they discover the problem. That and it gives the dealer the chance to find other things they recommend replacing that of course you have to pay the $$$ for.
