I was looking at the automatic window switch for the driver's side window. Is it just the switch that makes it a one step operation or is there something else helping out.

Here's what I was thinking about. Can we simple go to the Nissan parts counter and order another driver's side "auto"
switch and swap out the passenger switch so we have control of automatic up/down for both front windows? If that works then add another to the passenger side. I've never pulled the door swtich panel but I'm sure some of you have.

Any thoughts?

my alarm takes care of that problem for me.. but it's hard for me to crack the windows just one bit since all the window buttons on the drivers side is one touch operation now.

SEARCH the forum....

We've had this conversation before.

I think there was something about a resistance device that kicked the switch back so that the motor wouldn't push past the window being all the way up or down.

The I30 has auto up/down for both driver and front passenger. So you could use I30 switches. But I think it is also a different motor that senses when to stop. Best thing to do would be to talk to a knowledgeable Nissan/Infiniti parts guy and have him look up parts on both Max and I30 to compare. Call TJ or Mic at Nissan/Infiniti of Scottsdale 888-468-7070.
