Cooling and a/c problem
Cooling and a/c problem
Today I noticed that my a/c wasn't consistently cool. My first thought was that I may be low on refrigerant. A few miles later I got an SES light and the engine temp went up quickly. I turned of the road and let the car cool down. I turned the car on and let it idle for a while and the temp gauge stayed in its normal position. I proceeded on the highway and the temp went up again. I am suspecting a faulty thermostat. Now going back to the a/c would this running hot problem prevent the a/c compressor from coming on? The a/c runs great until the engine warms up a bit then the compressor only cycles on and off. Please chime in. I have a wife thats 7 months pregnant and she likes the a/c alot these days. Thanks
