Altima SE-R exhaust?

would it be possible to mount either the SE-R Altima or 350Z rear muffler to a '03 max? I know the bumper cutout is only on one side, but i was thinking of cutting off and blocking the dr. side tailpipe, since it is only one muffler
I imagine it would hang down a little b/c of the spare tire well, but I was planning on getting the Stillen rear lip, so that would cover it up?
Has anyone attempted / completed this?

i know people who have done a custom dual exhaust (PearlWhtMax2000) which he had the 2nd pipe go around his spare. but i dont think the SE-R altima has been out long enough for anyone to think of it, and i don't think the Z would fit to where people have thought to do it. But it definetely would be something to look into as far as what you could do to make it fit, maybe alter the piping on the SE-R so it could go around the spare? who knows.

from what I have read, a header (cattman or hotshot) and a cattman cat-back gets pretty close to the 350Z sound.

I will tell you in about a week and a half when I get my headers installed.... I only have the cattman cat-back for now.

Yes i was. My car was in the Show.

The exhaust sounds very deep. not raspy at all its just deep. That is an 80 sereis flowmaster muffler.

Not sure if you guys have actually heard the Altima SE-R exhaust or not, but last Saturday, there were two guys in one trying to mess with me on the freeway. My g/f and I were driving with the windows down, and I really didn't feel like messing with him, so I didn't. He finally took off and I couldn't get over how horrible the exhaust sounded. By horrible I mean, it sounded like it was about to fall off and it was quite raspy. Not very deep at all. I was pretty disappointed.

I have driven a brand new SE-R Altima, and it doesn't sound raspy at all ! From what I seen on some Altimas people remove the resonator and it sounds down nasty. Some dude came up to one of our local meet spots where most of us Chicago Maxima driver's meet up, he had a 03 3.5L Altima and it sounded like ****. I would like to run one to see what up New TL isnt ****... and I have a lowly 3.0.

I to, drove a Altima SE-R and it sounded great. Actually, it sounded about like a 350Z. Like Blackbird said, a guy I worked with went away from the stock exhaust on his SE-R and it sounds terrible. He told me yesterday he's going back stock tomorrow.
