R34 Rear Conversion

I saw this in the Northeast forum

I'm undecided if I like that rear conversion or not. I would never dream of actually doing this to my car, but I was wondering if anybody has done it and/or their opinions because I thought it was interesting and I had never seen that picture before or heard it discussed

I've only seen one car that the kit looks good on... a Skyline.

here is a photoshop i did awhile back when i was considering doing it...i even bought the tail lights, and changed my mind at the last minute....
b/c i got into the custom cf trunk group buy....

this photoshop consist of the r34 tails, customized stillen rear(i know it's crooked, too lazy to fix it) and custom dual exhaust(i used the greddy one in the photoshop)

the original pic was of a different color, so colored it the same as mine as much as possible, i believe it was originally y2kse...something, i can't remember his sn right now.... =_

the tail end is the only part of the REAL skyline that I don't like...the rest of the car is gorgeous, but the tail is ugly IMO....would never want to put it on a maxima!

IMO i think the R34 Conversion is hot, even though it isn't real... Seriously, if a R34 pulled in front of me a mile away, I know it's a R34 and not an Impala. Also, we should say (if you want to say it) the Impala looks like the Skyline, not the other way around. The R32 has had these circular tails first.

I can't beleive it's being compared to an Impala.

looks like that conversion was on a early-mid 90s Accord. Whatever it is, it still looks stupid!

.....I can think of some cars that had two pairs of round tail lights long before the Skyline......

The mid section is wayyy too boxy... the reason I like the tail conversion on the 5th gen above is because the body kinda flows with it.. like I said.. and the spoiler is fulgy..IMO

I coulda sworn there acutally was a Maxima with a R34 rear end conversion. Some reason Motorex comes to mind when I think about it.

i think it's just not right to do this to a maxima....a max is a max, a skyline is a skyline...leave it that way...our maxes look the best the way they are..they just look stupid and cheap when they try to look like something they're not...

There is an A33 with the R34 front and rear. It was an electric blue type color...

those tails are uggggly! i'd definetly leave stock but :+1: on the impala light being modeled after r34's, i can tell the difference hands down.
