Good news on my transmission

As most of you know I made a thread last week about my transmission, which was stuck in 2nd gear. So anyways I brought it to Jerry Rome Nissan who is on the Org and they could not even get it on a lift because it was to low. Then they tried to say transmission failure was caused by my stereo, which was complete bull****. I told them to drive it up on 2x4's so they could lift it, but they said they dont know how to do that, then i told them to take the rivets off the side skirts and they said they cant do that neither. Well anyway after that BS I told them to **** off and I took my car to Harte Nissan in CT. Last night wen i called them with no notice they took the car right in this morning (it took JR nissan 8 days to get it in) and Harte called me about 9 am. (After they put my car on the lift using 2x4's wich Jerry Rome nissan could not figure out how to do.) Harte told me that the tranny was shot and they would cover it FULLY UNDER WARRANTY. So to say the least that made my day of mowing 12 lawns better heh. Moral of the story Jerry Rome Nissan has dispicable Customer Service and Harte Nissan saved me 5 grand. I know this is the Wrong place to post my ranting about the dealership but some of you guys were wondering how I made out. I should have the car back by Tuesday because the tranny is coming in Monday.

That's awesome. But I think posts like these will keep me looking for the right 6 speed Maxima.

Hey man, congrats that's awesome. Yah it's ridiculous they couldn't figure out how to lift the car with some extra wood ramps, but you also have to look at it this way...it's the factory service station, meaning they are only required and expected to work on factory vehicles and many of them dont' feel like being responsible for doing the extra work/possibly hurting your mods and then you complaing etc. even tho your problem has absolutely nothing to do with the mods...except that you probably beat it bigtime due to your engine mods...heh...but they don't have to know that.

Congrats! I had the very same thing happen to me when I tried getting my 2k2 auto tranny (with 80,000km's) diagnosed. I got BS from 1 dealer and luckily the 2nd dealer I found did the tranny install absolutely free under warranty.

I can't believe these tranny's are so weak. I rarely beat on the car and the tranny died so quick. I just hope my new tranny is not the same crap.

I have the extended warranty and it covers the tranny up to 80,778 miles (130,000km's).
