I ordered from the factory a 01 Max SE Without a lot of the extras and was told that it would take 60-90 days. They called back and now say it will be 90-120 days. Anyone else special order? How long did it take? Also what do the 16" rims look like on the SE? Are they the same style as the 17" SE or like the GLE 16" ?

That is wierd....all the SE from late 2k should all have 17" rims! The 16" looks ok, but the 17" looks a lot sportier. You should double check with the dealer to see what is going on. Maxima here in the Bay Area are in stock, where are you from?

Not to be extemely rude. But how much did you get one of the new Maximas for. I know the invoice and was wondering how much they played with dropping the price. Right now most of the dealers around here just have a handful in stock. Thanks Bobby

Hey Ed- The 17" wheels are part of the SE Comfort & Convenience package, the base SE has the same 16" wheels as the GLE. My car is a base SE, I'm kinda partial to the 16" wheels, I guess it's a matter of personal preference!

Iwent to thge dealer and told them I was willing to pay 2% over the invoice price plus destination, tax, tags, and 1.5% advertising. The invoice prices for all cars was from http://www.edmunds.com . I had to order one from the factory because they always get the SE's with lots of options that I did not want and could not afford. I got the SE with floor mats, splash guards and AT.

Why not do this....

Get a 2000 Maxima GXE for $19k....

Take that extra $10k you got left over....

and work it up with aftermarket stuff.

---Adam---

PS: $19k = 14.93 @ 94mph 1/4 mi, A/C, power everything....

Re: Re: How Much?

I found the same problem. All these SE have many packages included int them that I just do not care to have. Thanks for the advice.
