If you hold the unlock button long enough, the front windows should roll down. I'm not sure if you can rewire some things to make the rears work the same.

Well!!! your response would be a good one if the question was about a 98 SE! But its not. Since when is a 98 SE a 2000 SE?

Just ..........

Just breaking your chops....... I had a 96 & it worked. Although I remember another thread regarding this same question & some one was able to accomplish this . I also believe it is easily done with a aftermarket alarm system.

I think you can turn the feature on with the consult--well on vehicles that have that feature--I have had to turn it off for people with 350's cuz the windows kept rolling down whe nthey locked the vehicle--they held the button to long

i have the 2002 SE and my windows will roll down about 3 inches when holding the unlock button, i let it go and hold it down a second time and the windows will roll down all the way, is there a way to make this possible to have this rolling down on all 4 windows?

they should just go down the first time you do it...i know mine do....
but really, what is this feature for? i've thought about it like once when i was going out to my car on a hot day, and it saved me about as much time as it takes to press a button (literally, i just press the 2 auto buttons for the front windows and they're down...) otherwise, i really dont see the point...it takes more time than it does to open the door...

Someone was talking about making a controler for the 00-01's which would allow us to do this and a lot more... I guess this fell through???

Anybody heard any more on this? (I was away from the org for a while)

No, you can't - 2k / 2k1 don't have the feature. My 95 had it, and the 2k2 / 2k3's do (they brought it back), but the 2k / 2k1 don't have that capability.

On a couple of other questions:

You don't have to press the button once, then again - the windows will roll down on the first press if you hold it.

Why the windows sometimes roll down all the way, and sometimes only a few inches, has always vexed me. A while back someone had the opinion that it was time-related which seems to make sense. IIRC it's if you're gone an hour or less, the windows will roll all the way down. I use it all the time and that seems right, but haven't ever done any testing to confirm.
