mine looks melted too. the finish is bubbled up. i am actually taking my car in fo the final warranty work this week (35,700 miles ) and am plannnig to make them replace the emblem and/or cover under warranty. if your car is still under warranty, maybe try for a free cover too....

Anyone know of a place to buy the new emblem? Also, it would be sweet if someone made an alternative emblem to put there.

Man, I knew the cover got hot, but bubbled and melted? I'm glad I took mine off.

My emblem had bubbled, so I bought one of a member who had replaced his with a CF cover. Then I had mine painted, no bubbling as of yet...

The Nissan emblem on my engine cover has started to wrinkle and bubble. Another one bites the dust.

Since the emblem on the engine cover is removable, why replace it with another crappy emblem that will probably bubble and peel all over again? It would probably look pretty good if you took the emblem off, knocked off the peeling silver coating, and painted it silver or whatever color you like with high-temperature paint.
