I don't see it as a contradiction. You can drive recklessly when no one else is around and therefore not be putting other's lives in danger. Ex, doing 140mph to see how fast your car can go in the middle of nowhere is dangerous and reckless, but put's no one else's life in danger.

it's the same way here pretty much, but instead, my theory is that half the people think the right lane is the slow lane, and the other half thinks the left lane is..so no matter what, there's always two stupid-asses in both lanes going 40!! then, when you get pissed and try to pass them, they get all defensive and freaking speed up and tail-ride you!! GRRRR! sorry, i just really hate texas drivers...thank god i'll never have to drive on the dreaded 281 again...(i'm moving to louisiana)

I was so pissed off the other day at other's stupidity, I felt like going on a "Falling Down" rampage. What's scary is the average person's IQ is around 100, and to think that 50% of the population is dumber than that, and 25% of the population has an IQ of less than 90.

HAH!!! I agree with you, i have found i can go the fastest in the right lane! I have been able to fly past everybody on the freeway in the "slow" lane. Good ol' utah drivers
