Ah, thanks man.

Well, they are nice, but I can't personally justify spending that kind of money on some hoses that I could dress up equally as well with some wire loom.

Dayumn they got the hoses on their site, YET they haven't been even tested to fit on a car. There are 2 hose kits in existance so far- both of them in blue, one for a 3.0L and one for a 3.5L. Samco needs me to test them before they will make a batch of them.

They (option) probably get their parts from the wholesaler I deal with, and my wholesaler doesn't sell to public only retail outlets.

Our deal will be through P&L Motorsports, here in Franklin Park IL.

Corey, I gotta talk to the manager when the hoses arrive and tell him WHICH distributor I want to deal with. Once the hoses fit our Maximas, and possibly 3.5L Altimas I will then make the decission. He didn't say we need to purchase 20+ hoses, but it seemed as if there was enough interest in these before, and thats what got them to do this kit. If these fit the Altima, I know for sure there will be alot of people interested in these hoses from Altimas.net.

Person I deal with lives in US, and Samco is based in the UK. They shipped the hoses (OEM) out to UK to have them copied by Samco. I will have the 1st set of each ones next week. My source doesn't know what the 3rd hose is for, nor has he even seen these yet.

Well i guess they made a couple of them its 120 a set anyone willing to get these. I think the reason Mike gave up was lack of interest and as always people being cheap on the org. Oh well i might try these soon as my cars coming up on 100k and i might replace my hoses so might as well make them look pretty.

Reason the 3.0L are more than the 3.5L is because you only get 2 hoses with the 3.5L and the 3.0L get a 3rd hose- for your radiator overflow tank.

When I send out the hoses to Samco to get made I included a overflow tank hose for the 3.0L, which is the same as the 3.5L. They bundles the overflow hose with the 3.0L kit. 3.5L and 3.0L have very similar radiator hoses, but they are different. I would suggest sticking to the hose kit designed for your car. These should fit 100% with no problems, I do not have a set thou. I was supposed to get a "free set" for buying the hoses new from Nissan for both engines, and setting up the whole deal. I lost contact durring my PC reformat with the person incharge of the project, and I lost my free hose hook up.

If I ever decide to add more things to my Maxima, they will get added on. For now Maxima is just collecting dust, thanks to Redline Max and their awesome customer service- aka awaiting for needed parts for my suspension.

I called a guy named mike at the link above and said if at least 5 people order a set he can do it for 92.25. Basically he is knocking off 10 bucks for either generation. So I want a set if 4 more jump in $92 is not a bad price.

Did you even read the post? Yes, he will do it for all gens. I have a 3.5 myself. So are you in? This is kind of stupid though for 10 bucks. I guess you can think of it as free shipping.

If you want it now it is $93. You need 3 more people for it to be $92. Not sure why I even posted this. It's only 10 bucks, but whatever if three more join then we save 10 bucks.

ok just to clarify, you meant $103 if we buy on our own after shipping? i think its definitly worth saving that $10. How exactly are we placing the order, are we just gonna call in individually and say we are from maxima.org?

So, I received the Samco hoses. As stated, there are three hoses. Question though: I thought the third hose was the radiator overflow hose (to the reservoir, I would assume)? The third hose sent to me is the little short one in this pic. Where the hell does that go??

btw, I KNOW this is a basic question, but it's a bit cold out and I don't feel like going out to the car at the moment. Someone help ME out for once

Hey Gbauer, I've been armor alling my hoses and detailing my engine bay since the mid 80"s. It helped me pinpoint a leak early on when I had my 78 Monte Carlo.

See that dirty hose under the upper radiator hose? I think that is what the small hose is for.

Doh! I swear they should lump you 3.0 guys into your own forum

If you can't find where it goes on the 3.0, I'll take it off your hands

emailed samco and PM'd importrp to see what the deal is..

the wierd part is all the hoses were in a bag labeled "1995-2001 Nissan Maxima" TCS302C (which is what is listed on their site) with a sticker on it with part numbers:
TB1614
TB1615
TB1616
and a box checked next to each...

The hoses themselves have these very same codes on them. The odd hose is 1616.

This makes me think the hose IS correct, and Mike perhaps was wrong about what hose they are providing for the Maxima

Mike, did you ever actually test-fit these hoses?

I wanted the red ones, but they sait it would take 4-6 weeks since they come from UK. Blue was the only color in stock..
