just got my FSTB

just got my FSTB

i put it across the engine as if it were installed and the holes dont line up on the drivers side...the gold bracket for the air filter on the drivers side seem to be blocking it from going down...also the bar didnt come assembled so i had to put it together my self...is there anything speacial i have to do while putting it together? did u guys have to move anything out of the way while you put ur fstb on? i hope i didnt get the rong bar i waited all week for this thing........

are you sure that the brackets are on the correct strut towrs? what brand did you get?

the brand is aspec and i got it from ebay...iam gonna go try it agian but the gold bracket on the drivers side is blocking it from going all the way down

the passenger side fits...but the drivers side wont go down because of taht gold bracket...iam gonna remove the gold bracket tos ee if it makes a difference...i tried the passenger side on the drivers side but its completly differnt so i have the right side

I have an 02 and my FSB was notched to accommodate the bracket thats on the strut tower for the air box bracket. is it possible to take pics of this gold bracket, my bracket is painted the color of the car.

ok upload the pics on your comp, you need a site to host the pics, if you have a cardomain site,upload them onto the cardomain site, copy the image location by right clicking on the pic, then copy and paste the location with these symbols in front of it [img] and this at the end [/img (this is how you create a signature aswell.

the teal color is wear the strut brace is...the red is the part that wont go all the way down..and the yellow is the part thats blocking it from going down(the gold piece for the air filter)

if the image dosent show or u need a bigger picture goto my cardomian

ok, i had my intake on when i put the fsb on, just take that airbox bracket off, put your FSB on and put that bracket back on, that should work.

aright i test fitted my stut bar and it fits but theres a part in the way that i had to move here are pics...
the part is circled in yellow... this pic shows how the part sits now



this how the part is gonna be after the fstb is on.... is it alright for it to be like that?... and wut does this part do?

DOH!..what you can do is take that plastic piece out and turn it upside down and put it back upside down..kinda confusing right? wish i had a pic..i didn't put mine in yet but I don't have that bracket after the Berk intake install. Someone here should have a pic.
