im not a frequent in the 5th gen forum but i know this is a repost, but i couldnt' find it anywhere. i did the poor mans search and i checked the stickies. all i found was how to change out the headlight for an ae headlight.

this is for my friend anyway- were plannin on doin this and i was wondering what is the best way to take the headlight apart? some put it in the oven, but im not really down for that. we have access to a heat gun, so should i use that with a butter knife to pry it open? also what kind of paint looks the best and covers well, gloss? should we sand down the silvery part to get the paint to stick better? thanks for anything you can tell me
