Bass and MAF problems

I know alot of you have had issues with the MAF. I have subs in my o2 and wanted to know how many people are having issues with the maf and have subs. I thought that the vibs might play a role in the maf failure.

that seems unlikely to me that there is a correlation between the two, but i'll wait for the scientific (poll) results to come in

I didnt see the intake part hidden in there.... i thought it was just "i have a sub...MAF issues" or "No sub...no MAF issue"

My MAF failed well before I had my system. My system is very loud and shakes everything. Even my hood latch. I seriously doubt they are connected.

possible to have problems, but not seriously likely. The sensor in the MAF works by running a current through a resistor and reading the resistance. The more airflow and colder the temp, the cooler the resistor stays, the less resistance. However, the amount of current is low, so I seriously doubt the MAF would fail due to the vibration (or power consumption for that matter). More than likely, you over or under oiled your filter and killed it that way.

Does your intake have a bracket that holds the maf still? If it's just flopping around the engine bay, that'll kill it. Knew a guy who went through 3 mafs from the dealer before figuring that one out.
