AC compressor GAS

hEY GUYS,

Can any one help me find where I need to put the AC compressor GAS.
My cooling is almost dying, bought the do it yourself kit to recharge the AC. Checked the FAQ's and How to's did not find anything. Thanks a lot

If you follow the a/c lines it sounds be no problem. It looks like a short valve stem off off a rims. Oh by the way the lines are kinda silver looking and about 1/2in dia.

There are 2 caps- they are both around the passenger side of the engine- one is a high side and other is the low side. Buy yourself the do-it-yourself kit at AutoZone for like 29 bux and charge it through the low side. The kit will have a small gauge on it. If you overcharge the system it will blow warm also as the compressor will not kick on, or it will cycle on and off quickly. There is a pressure sensor in the system that tells the compressor to turn off if there is too much or too little R134a refridgerant.

Those DIY a/c kits don't work all that well. The system needs to be put into a vacuum in order for it work properly. I recommend taking it to a professional who can also put dye in the system to check for leaks.

My car was taking a long time to get cool. I tried adding refrigerant to my A/C but it didn't improve the cooling. Don't use the DIY tools they don't work and can cause more harm than good. I think it may be the condenser that is going bad.
