So, I got my Hot shot headers in for my 02. I started on them this afternoon. So far, I have the y-pipe off, cross member, and front exhaust mani. I had to stop for the night, (bikini contest at the bar) But i will continue on it tomorrow morning. I have the instructions from Blackbird so i should be alright.
Talk to you in the morning.

Well. I finished up the mechanical part of the headers today. One problem is the front 02 sensor, It's pushed into the AC compressor. The bung should be further up the header. I went out on the test drive and found out my exhaust leak on the connecter for the muffler and b-pipe has gotten worse. The car felt amazing though. Much quicker. Only problem now is on the test drive the connector for the muff/b snapped so it's really loud now. Other than that, Its all good. Thanks to hotshot for an awsome product, and i will inform them of the 02 sensor problem.
I have yet to hook up my o2 simulator to the two secondary o2 sensors. Funny thing is, I dont have a check engine light on yet. I dont really understand why. I brought it up to temp and everything. Im guessing it will come on at some point.

I am having a leak issue with them though.... I had them installed, heard a leak and I figured it was the crappy paper gasket they sent for the cat connection. So I put on a new OEM gasket and still had a leak
So I called my brother, he told me that my stock cat could be the problem, he said that it was pretty rusty and it might not be able to make a good seal because of the crappy surface.
Sooooo I go and order a new highflow cat from CM and I get a install kit from Cattman (Gaskets and bolts). I installed it and I stilll have a leak
.I closely examine the connection to find that it looks like the flange on the y-pipe that connects to the cat is tilted back a hair, so if you are looking at it from the side its kinda like this / (not that dramatic of a tilt just so you get the idea). The leak is always at the top of the connection so I can only guess that it is the tilted flange that is causing the leak
I called SCO about it today and they told me that they could not do anything about it today since it was saturday, that I need to call on monday when HS is open and we can figure out what to do.
I dont really dont want to take off the y-pipe because it is a PITA, so it needs to go to a shop for that, I just dont have time to do it myself. It is hard to install one in your garage without a lift or air tools especially when your car is dropped three inches, there is almost no room under my car when it is sitting on jackstands (and I am skinny).
