does the 2002 manual have a rev limiter? i missed shifts a couple times cuz i didnt push the clutch down enough and the rps go sky high because im jamming on all the pedals, it never went to red line though, but very close

also, when i hit the gas real hard in first or second gear, the car doesn't seem real responsive? is this normal, or do i need to tune somthing up

Yes it has a rev limiter. 6550 rpm.

As far as your responsiveness issues, you might need a new MAF
