Hello,
My maxima has been running really weird lately. It all started after an oil change I recently did. I had a CEL light so during the oil change I figured that I would try to get rid of it by unplugging the negative and in doing so reseting the ECU. After that i took it for a spin around the block and it had good power until 3,500 RPM's and then it seemed like the transmission slipped or so I thought for a couple days until now. Now I think it is the MAF because it is precisely at 3500 that the problems start. Can i just clean my MAF??? I going to college in about half a month and i really dont have the money to spend on getting a new one if it is possible just to clean it and have it work again.

my MAF sensor went bad two days ago and i was unable to even drive my car because it would keeping stalling out when i put it in drive. so i had it towed to my mechanic and he was unable to get it fixed because nissan upgraded the sensor and requires them to reprogram the computer. so i had to get it towed again to a nissan dealership. they intially told me that it would be $250. then yesterday they call me and say that after they fixed it that my check engine light went back on. said they would be able to fix it but need another hour of labor, so since i have no choice i agreed, then they call me again saying that they are going to keep the car over night. i think that they fu*ked up the cars computer because they guy said that all the lights on the dash board stay on now. so i feel like i am slowly by slowly getting raped!
