2001 Maxima Versus 2002 Altima

Hi, I am considering the purchase of a 2001 Maxima SE for $35400 Canadian.
I am wondering if anybody has some advice for me on whether or not I should wait for the 2002 Altima in September.
I have seen quite a few previews for the new Altima, but I really have no idea what the pricing is expected to be since the 2002 Altima is supposed to replace the positioning of the Maxima.
Insight?

to death. PLEASSSSE, do a search on this forum. I don't think I can take another one of these.Cheers!
Hmm... perhaps waiting until the new Altima and Maxima are out would be prudent..
Like I said in another thread
#1. you can then always choose to purchase the 2k2 Maxima or Altima (we still don't know the pricing of the new altima, nor anything concrete about the 2k2 maxima)
#2. if you wanna save money, you will undoubtedly get a killer deal on a 2k1 maxima (Dealers + Nissan will want to push them out of the way with good incentives/financing, etc.)
-Tom Z.
PS. Now if you want to talk about the performance of the Altima . . . (Tom scurries off and hides under desk)
