Basic Suspension Package from Cattman review
Basic Suspension Package from Cattman review
I was just wondering if anybody installed Basic Suspension Package from Cattman (front tower brace, rear sway bar.) My suspension is otherwise completely stock. How do you people think my max will behave? Will it still keep understeering but just not as much or it’ll start oversteering? How does the sway bar affect maximum g forces?
you can get an OTTO fstb, which is a generic copy of cattman for much cheaper off ebay. You can get a regualar generic fstb even cheaper than that, i think they all perform about the same. There are several RSBs, and I prefer Progress rsb, because it's thicker, and not hollow, like cattman. It also clamps to your car in 4 different mount points, two on the side, and two to the axle. This will be the most effective suspension mod. You can also find a generic rear tower strut brace on ebay, those run about $40 i beleive.

The Progress bar is thinner than the Stillen bar, but is solid, while the Stillen bar is thicker but hollow.

For comments on the effects with a stock suspension, I'm sure the effects will be very similar but just to a larger degree. There are plenty of posts out there about that, so just do a search to find em, either via the instructions in the Stickies or just by reading through the earlier pages.
I had the otto bar. Then i bought the cattman rsb and the FSTB. I dont regret the decision at all. The otto over time tarnished and was uncleanable The cattman FSTB is a lot lighter and looks a heck of a lot better in my opinion. But granted the otto is dirt cheap.

i think the progress is superior because it mounts to the fram on the side, and to the axle on the back. seems like it would have less flex this way.

How much oversteer? I'm not sure how to quantify that.

I think he meants the RSB ?
the Front STealing tower bar is solid I belive
when I order the RSB from stillen for my Altima..the bar came as suspension tech. which stillen never produce.
I could be wrong what puppet was applying on the hollow part (ftsb or rsb)
Tho in the past Stillen carried Suspension Tech, Ive never saw any 2000 and up Maxima parts from Stillen.

How are the RSB from Cattman and Progress bars found elsewhere different? Thanks.

It's aluminum...if it tarnishes, use some aluminum polish or fine steel wool. Or paint it. I've had mine on for 2 years, and it is still completely shiny (and I don't polish it or clean it very often).not like anyone is gonna see it anyways
