Idle Air C0ntrol Valve For 02 Help!
My mechanix told me that I needed a idle control sensor. I called around and Courtesy Nissan said that it is attacked to the TB and you have to buy them together for 700.00. Then I called another Nissan part seller and they came back with a price or 182.00. I'm a little confused about this. Has anyone purchased one of these sensors for a 2002 Maxima SE with 6 spd. If so what did you pay and where did you get it?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

I paid $375(used) for mine(2002 6sp) but it turned out that it wasn't my IAC valve/TB that was bad, it was my ECU. So I took it out and now it's sitting in my garage. The TB works fine. If you want I can sell it to you for a fair price. PM me if interested.

iac is an actuator... but what im coming up with says that its strictly in the throttle plate...
hmm..
-----------------
Description
The ECM controls the engine idle speed to a specified level through the fine adjustment of the air, which is let into the intake manifold, by operating the electric throttle control actuator. The operating of the throttle valve is varied to allow for optimum control of the engine idling speed. The crankshaft position sensor (POS) detects the actual engine speed and sends a signal to the ECM.
The ECM controls the electric throttle control actuator so that the engine speed coincides with the target value memorized in the ECM. The target engine speed is the lowest speed at which the engine can operate steadily. The optimum value stored in the ECM is determined by taking into consideration various engine conditions, such as during warming up, deceleration, and engine load (air conditioner, power steering and cooling fan operation, etc.).
