Trip Odometer Button - Grommet?

Is it just my car, or is there not supposed to be a gasket or grommet around the button that resets the trip odometer. I don't have one, and can't keep the dust from getting into my gauge cluster.
With a sticker price just shy of 30 large, you'd think they would have maybe thought ahead a little bit. My girlfriend's POS Taurus doesn't let dust into her gauges.

If someone could check their's, I'd greatly appreciate it.

None on mine too,(the 2001 model). I bet its a little problem. Just take it to the dealer. Its weird though that you are missing that part.

Don't have one either, but you gave me an idea. I'm going to try to use the grommets I buy from Radio Shack to run cables trough plexiglass. This might actually work.
