my car wants to stall

i have a 2k 5speed w/ cone filter, y ipe and bpipe and my car wants to stall often. it happens randomly. at first, i thought my tb was dirty, so i would you some cleaner and watch my exhaust releases a black cloud from my system. but i tried that recently, and there was barely a hint of black that came out. i also cleaned my filter, thinking it was very dirty, but that didnt seem to be the problem too. i would just drive, and pop it in neutral, and the needle would dip to 500, or even 2-300 rpm. can someone help me with this?

p.s. it seems that when i reset my SES light by disconnecting the battery, the car idles nicely all the time, but after driving a lil bit, the needle drops on occasion when its put into neutral.....

can someone help me figure out what it is......

7. Disconnect throttle position sensor harness connector (brown),
then reconnect it within 5 seconds.

that happened to my car when i would coast in neutral or just rev it. it would drop like it was ready to shut off and then just go back up. the problem was my TB. you say you sprayed TB cleaner, but i believe you need to do more than just that. you need to get down n dirty. spray tb cleaner onto a piece of cloth, old tshirt, whatever. then you need to physically clean the butterfly. the reason it feels like it's going to shut off is specifically because of dirt buildup at the edge of the butterfly valve. it is usually about 15 degrees off a straight vertical line. that little air that passes through is what creates the idle. when the dirt builds up, that gap gets smaller, so the idle drops real low. but then the ECU kicks in and brings it back up.
you can clean the butterfly valve, but then....ok i see you have a 2k so i'm GUESSING you have a cable-controlled valve, so it shouldn't mess up the idle. if it does mess it up, then you'll have a high idle and the link above for the idle learning should assist you.

cliffnotes: spray not good enough, need to rub grime off butterfly valve.

ok, wire brush. point being, you can't just spray and hope it clears the grime. it has to be physicially removed.
