Started Getting Some Buzzing......

Hello all - Long time no post. Forum Still looks great.

Anyway, I'm encountering a problem with the Air Conditioner. There is a buzzing sound when I turn on the air. I have the auto temperature air conditioning unit. When I press ECON or Auto, different Modes and Fan Speeds it makes a noise. It sounds like a playing card in a bicycle wheel. I think the sound is coming from somewhere by the glove box.

I have to make a 1K mile trip in two weeks and this will drive me crazy if I don't get it fixed. Also, I don't want to pay $75 an hour for them just to look at it.

Anyone have this problem and fixed it in the past? I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

Thanks

Any chance its junk caught in by the filter? Whenever I replace my in-cabin filter I
find a lot of leaves, etc.

That is one of the two options I did not get - cabin filters and cd changer.

Maybe it's a bug?

I have had an issue like this before on a different car. When the air is on recirculate, there is a fan underneath the glove box that sucks in air. I have seen a piece of paper or a leaf or something get sucked up from the floor into this fan and the paper will get stuck and make the "card in the bicycle spokes" type of noise. Not sure if the Max has a fan in this location or not but you might check.

Good idea - I'll check that. I guess I should look at my Haynes manual.
