2k2 headlight conversion problem

Ive installed 02/03 lights on my car, and for some reason, when i use my right turn signal, at random times, the high beams sometimes flicker on and then off, (only on the right side), does anyone know what may be the problem, possibly a loose ground? or I connected the wrong turn signal wire? any help is appreciated, thanks

Check your wiring work and your grounding point.

Did you use a separate ground for the turn signals? They work much better if you do. Select a good ground point on the frame near the fender. This is what I did.

Recheck your wires you might have bare wires touching, when you ground them did you remove the paint from the ground point??? If not then theirs your answer why they flicker!

seperate ground? The only ground wire comes from the middle plug for the xenon... is that the one your talking about?

I was thinking thats what my problem is...but i thought if they are crossed up then it wont work at all.....im still leaning towards the ground, even though both sides are grounded the same, and only the right side flicks the high beams on

also if it happens to be my ground, wheres a good spot to ground them too? right now i have them grounded to one of the headlight bracket bolts., I know thats probably a terrible place, but it is only temp

No, the 2K-2K1 models headlight wiring are, of course, different from the 2K2-2K3 models. If you use a different ground for the turn signals, it won't interfere with anything else in its path. If you ground the turn signal to the black wire from the harness, then you'll run into the problem of interfering with another ground from another source, such as the problem you are experiencing. When the turn signal blinks, the ground affects the other source connected to it in the same path.
