BBK owners?

Hey I was curious how many of you guys install the fronts.

Seems lately like its not grabbing hard ...feels like theres no pressure in the brake booster. does anyone have a similar problem? just asking before I have bring it in to my friends shop next week to check out. Just trying to figure out a few things to look for.

I brought the bbk from ChrisMax ..its been on the car for 3 months now.

any input or comments is very appricated.

Thank You.

Bleed the brakes on the vehicle

Occured twice now on Precision BBK, especially after hard braking incidents to prevent my front end from impaling another moron who decided to cut me off on the highway.

could be in need of a bleed.....or could just have higher-temperature pads than you're used to, that don't bite hard until warmed up alot......

thanks for the input .. sorry BBK meaning the 300z brakes I purchase from Chris..

I think I should replace the pads with HAWKS and maybe bleed them like you guys said.

it came with the steel lines so Shouldnt be that .. thanks for the suggestions

They are never going to grip as good as your stockers, live with it. I have the same setup, plus HAWK pads and I belive stock brakes are better. They are more for BLING than anything else. After 30K miles of driving your rear calipers will stop working too, since brake bias is now severelly fuked up, and rears are not stopping the car at all.

Would this be the same if one were still using the stock front calipers instead of the 300z's?

In my findings, reason my rear calipers are freezing up is due to the rear brakes not working almost at all- only for the parking brake. You get almost zero brake bias to the rear. I can tell you when I have 5 people inside the car I can tell the front is doing EVERYTHING and the rear isn't doing anything. You can feel the front stopping the car and rear isn't. It was like that from the day I installed these, and now I need to rebuild my rear calipers.

If the bias is diff then how could they NOT grip better than stock? The pistons have more area and the rotor is bigger. Rears still work.

You should have got Matt93se's rear bbk too. Braking is incredible.

hmm the thing is my Rear calipers piston was frozen already so this may attraibute to the fronts being worked harder for brakeing.

acutally thanks for the reminder cause I forgot that the rear was frozen when I brough the car and Just realizged my friend mention about that ..but then I forgot about it ..got all exicted about the Front BBK Z rotors and the rest is history.. damn..Thanks
