cattman muffler
cattman muffler
i have a custom exhaust set up right now with 2 b pipes and a megnaflow muffler. well the muffler is to load so iam going to switch to a cattman. 1 minor problem my exhaust set up is all welded. so does any one know were i can get just the muffler from cattman or cattmans muffler for less then 350 thanx so i can cut it and weld it i just need the muffler section not the rear pipeing section thanx very much
That's the cheapest site that sells cattman for less compare to all the other ones.http://www.sportcompactonly.com/prod...126&l=2&p=2391

I agree, if you want less noise, dont go with cattman. Cattman is not to bad noise wise... till you free up your front half.
The sound is fantastic, however it can get old all the time.
from the sound clips, the frankencar sounds just as loud as the cattman muffler to me, but it is hard to tell from just a sound clip. I would really like to hear them in person and in the car.

having heard them side by side (on my car and Joels), the cattman is DEFINITELY louder and, while the Frankencar is just barely louder than stock.....btw, both of us have the Frankencar b-pipe, so it's the muffler only that I'm referring to....

Not that frankencar is a bad choice, but you cannot steer the guy away from a catman, that's you just being a fan boy my friend ; )

I want "throaty", "muscular". I dont want it to sound like a 2 stroker on a motor scooter.
Frankencar Muffler is the way to go?
Will I loose anything by keeping the stock muffler on the car with headers and b pipe as opposed to having a full catback including Muff?

My M3 has a race pipe setup and truthfully sounds like hell.

Have you heard irish's setup, or a properly tuned full bolt on maxima?
The car sounds good, loud, under WOT. It doesn't make the car drone or ricey. It's rather ironic, quite a few people have commented on how it drones even less with the cattman b-pipe.
I haven't one person who has been in my car and felt it to be ricey or obnoxiously loud, usually they have a big smile on their face after hearing how well my car sounds and performs. It's not rice, these parts do help my car perform better.
If anyone has any doubts about these sort of claims, do some searching here over google, and look at dynographs of how 3.5 maximas performs these kinds of ricey mods.
If you've seen sr20den's car running a high 12, would you hesitate to call the car ricey?
