I live in boston and i know what you mean. I just put tokico blues on my stock springs (i have an 03 SE )and let me tell you the ride is awesome. The car handle bumps and any speed and keeps its composeur...It leans less in turns and ride quality is second to none..Keep your stock springs and just change the shock/struts and you won't regret it....http://www.cardomain.com/ride/691702

It handles bumps much smoother and doesn't have that jarring feeling that the stock shocks have when you hit bumps. Plus you don't feel every litte imperfection in the road. Much better dampening and none of that floaty feel. I am not one for perforamce springs cause i like to have a nice riding car so believe me when i tell you change shocks leave stock springs. The only problem with the maximas suspension is the stock shocks are underdampened and gives a crappy ride.....
Fronts are $94 each, rears are $68 each http://redlinemax.com/catalog/index....138d0a1d6d461I
Could any one tell me which struts are stock on the SE? I simply forgot.

Yea I still have the ****ty OEM's. I only have 17k on my car so that's why I'm waiting a little more before buying tires.
Boondoxmax- you have the blues on your car? Did the struts even out the ride height at all...pick up the a$$ end at all?

Yea I know...before winter I'll be getting them...so not too much longer.
Struts don't affect the height at all... and why do you want the rear any HIGHER? I thought the stock height was already Pathfinder spec...

no change in ride height, but the handling is much improved over stock. I never thought this struts would change the handling much but i am driving a totally different car now. Corners sharper and flatter and the dampening forces is much improved so the car rides better.

if you look at the susupension as a whole...
what do springs affect?
what do shocks affect?
i was going to put on h&rs on stock shocks, but i am getting confused again after reading this thread. besides being lower, what would change with the aftermaket springs?
