ugly header heat shield, dont need it?

ugly header heat shield, dont need it?

i was lookin to take off that ugly heat shield on the header. does it actually serve any real purpose?? anyone have it off?

it protects the o2 sensor wires from burning against the header, or to keep you safe from actually touching it.. mine is still on..

Plus it protects your eyes from the ugly stock manifold...
