Bridgestone recall

Just learned from another site that Bridgestone is recalling the Turanza EL-42 tires on the 2004 and 2005 Acura TLs. Good for them Does anyone know if the EL-42s installed on 2003 Maximas will also be recalled?

This same thing should have been done for the POS blowtenza RE92s.

Bridgestone did a "recall" for the tires they put on the 545i sport. Seems as if they all premeturely wear out at about 5k miles.

99SE-L I would check with your dealer. Everytime we have a car come in we run the vin with BMW of North America and they will show if there is a recall on that particular car or not. It should be somewhat similar at Acura

ain't that the truth. I don't understand it but potenzas are stock tire on damn near every car i see. Toyota uses them on the camry and subaru puts them on there new legacy gt.....Manufacturs must get them dirt cheap, but if you try to buy them aftermarket they are like 160.00 ea.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of very good Potenza tires. In fact, I would probably venture to say that the RE92 is by far the worst Potenza Bridgestone ever made (and it's not even close) because the others are damn good.

I had four new Pirellis put on my 03 Saab 9-3 Vector last week because of premature wear... As soon as they put them on I said thanks, I am going to go trade in the car now...

now we have our new car.

20K is MAX you will see out of Turanzas on the TLs. Its funny how people who had 02 TL-S got around 50-60K miles out of the original Michelin MXV4s and they can't get 20K out of the new TL with Turanzas. I just slapped on a new set of Turanzas on a 05 TL with 12K miles- tires where almost bald.

Good thing bout this is- ALOT of tires for me to go drifting on Now I just need to pick up that 90 240SX.
