when does the radiator fan come on? can it ba damaged?

when does the radiator fan come on? can it be damaged?

i was playing with something under the hood anf hit the fan by accident, then i played with it spinning it and i havent seen it come on since. is it true that if u spin the fand back and forth when the car is off u can damage it? or am i just really paranoid?

never heard of it breaking just by spinning it. turn the car on let it run if it goes past the normal operating temp. and the fans dont turn on then something is wrong.

Yep.....you're just paranoid.

BTW, you said that you were "playing with something" under the hood....can you give a little more info as to what you were doing? Unless you somehow messed with the wiring, there's no reason why the fans shouldn't work.

should be fine....I don't really notice my fan when its on...its hard to hear...if you see that your car is starting to over heat when you driving then you should be worried....
