I have 4 tires 235/45/17 Pzero Nero M+S. The front right one blew out the other day when I hit a major pot hole. I put in that place instead a full size rim that I have wrapped around with Pilot Sport A/S but with the size of 225/50/17.

So I got on the front left 235/45 and the front right 225/50. Thats not good right?hehe

For how long can I drive like this, I still have about 3-5k more that I could squeeze out of those Pzero Neros.

Is it not safe to drive fast on the highway? since one tire does less or more rotations, does it affect anything with the speedometer?

You should put the irregular sized tire as the rear passanger tire.

 

The tires are almost gone. I just rotated the front to the rear. The rear have almost no rubber left and the front have a little bit more rubber. So if I switch around, I am gonna have a left front 235/45 with more rubber then the right front 235/45 with less rubber.

You think I should still do it, and squeeze out of all of them like 3-5k miles?

 

If you have the funds get new tires or you can take your chances with your current setup. You can probably make it but it isnt good to run different size tires especially in the front.

 

Yeah, I was pretty sure its not good before I even asked here on the forum.

Does it ruin anything phyiscally in the car? like alignment? something with the steering?

 

Now that you have rotated the tires, and have the same size tires on the front but with different tread depth, you will experience pulling to one side or the other. I don't know if this will affect the wheel alignment, I doubt it. However, it strikes me that it would be in your best interests to buy 4 new tires before the rainy season (if you have rain in the fall) and certainly before the snow flies (I believe you get some snow in the winter).

 

Dont be so cheap and buy 2 tires at a time.

235/45 is 25.32 inches tall
225/50 is 25.86 inches tall

Not enough to damage anything but YA keep the odball on the rear if you can't get 2 at a time. The only thing other than your car driving funny is its not good on the tranny to run different diamiter tires. Also if the diamiter is too far off which it isn't, It will set an ABS wheel speed sensor code because they are spinning at different rates.

yep, I will get new tires soon. I will just go and rotate that front right with the rear right so I wont have two different size tires on the front part of the car which is more important.
