Sunglasses holder

It has broken in several places now. Not just the thing that swings down now, but where the swinging joint meets up with the piece that is attached to the ceiling. Anyway, I need a new one. Does anyone know the part # and if I can order this piece and the cost? Also, my interior is black (or whatever the darkest color is) and the ceiling is a beige color, does anyone know if that changes the part # or what the color code is?

Thanks.

your interior color code should be on a sticker under your center consol lid

BTW, since you have a 2k, I'd recommend replacing it with one from the 02-03's. That's what I did when my tab broke on mine 3 years ago. You have to cut the headliner a little bit for it to fit, but it's so much better because it's spring loaded. Once you install it, it covers up where you had to cut. I bought mine from DaveB.

Thank you. I may as well do that. How intensive is the cutting involved? How much does something like this cost and what is the best way to contact Dave? The last time I talked to him was last summer. I don't know his number anymore.

There's hardly any cutting involved. Take an exacto knife and you cut away a small strip of material. Maybe 3/8" thick or something. You can just keep cutting a small amount away until it fits right. It cost me $8.72 + $3.00 shipping after the ORG discount. Good price, I think. I haven't ordered from Dave in a few years actually. His number is 888-254-6060.

krazysashka, no that is definately NOT normal.

You don't have to connect the map lights or do anything electric-related. The sunglasses holder comes as one piece itself. Nothing else is attached.
