i'm usually a really nice kid that's open to a lot of opinions, but seriously....you guys with your stock maximas are a joke. don't get me wrong, it's cool to have a grocery getter. you guys are pros at it. but some people like to be different and make their car look like what they want it to look like. bottom line....JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING DOESN'T MAKE IT LAME. man, i wish i was allowed to swear on these forums...

If I paint my car hot pink with polka dots will you like it because it's a custom paint job?

Watch this POS body kit start cracking and flaking like dandruff in a year or two.

If you notice, most of the guys on this forum don't have stock Maximas, but we also don't turn them into riced out POS's with body kits like this monstrosity.

in my defense of this car, IT HAS 19K MILES ON IT what you dnt like on the car, you can sell on e-bay or something and make it the way you want it, with the money you sold the "**** you didnt like" on it, i still think its a good deal

boo hoo

The area of my car where I have the most money invested is the stereo, the one area where this POS shines, and I still don’t respect it. My car isn’t stock, it isn’t a grocery getter, and I don’t hate on cars just because they aren’t stock or look "different." When somebody doesn’t like something, why can’t it be lame to them? Isn’t that what having an opinion is about? You don’t have to read this thread. You have an ignore button, and as you've so clearly but ineloquently stated, you do have an opinion too. People are going to state their opinions about a car’s appearance when it’s posted on here, and you need to get used to that, or get out. sadly, ibtl

Stereo seems nice. Honestly, I don't see why anyone with a Maxima would want 5.1 surround sound for driving. There is also no room in the trunk for anything other than a gallon of milk and a 12-pack...

Us old folk with stock Maxima's don't approve...

I don't know anyone here that has a stock stereo unless it's a bose. It's not the being different part that we're laughing at, it's the fugliness of the car. Most people here do not have stock maximas and most mod them in good taste. In addition, there's nothing wrong with a stock maxima unless it's a gxe with fugly seat cloth and fugly steelies. The Bill Lumberg at Nissan that put those wheels and seats in it ought to be shot.

I've seen a few body kits that look ok, but I've seen too many that crack and flake after a year or two. Except for wheels, tint, leather, and maybe a dash kit, I prefer to have a stock-looking maxima and spend my mod money on performance mods.

The exterior rice mods make you stand out and become a target for officer friendly. If you were officer friendly, would you choose to ticket a stock looking maxima or a POS one like this?

EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD WITH A BONE STOCK 5TH GEN MAXIMA, SAY 'AYE'

no one? everyone in here is at stock ride height with the bose still in the dash, right?

i'm usually a really nice kid that's open to a lot of opinions, but seriously....you guys with your stock maximas are a joke.
who exactly are you talking about... go ahead and name names.

don't get me wrong, it's cool to have a grocery getter. you guys are pros at it.
thats what the maxima is, a 4 door family car. my grocery getter just happens to have a nitrous bottle in between the bread and the milk

but some people like to be different and make their car look like what they want it to look like. bottom line....JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING DOESN'T MAKE IT LAME.
no, but when you have a consensus that something is lame, usually, thats because it is

the 5.1 surround sound is AWSOME when you watch a movie, the speakers are so close to you its much different than most home entertainment centers, im looking into getting the center speaker, if you havent exsperienced it, then you really wouldnt know why...

I have experienced it. I see no reason to sit in the car to watch a movie when I have a good home entertainment system with a screen that is MUCH larger than a 7"er. Since you can't drive and watch (not supposed to at least), I see that as a total waste.

i don't quite understand the point of installing the "center channel" where the clock was...
my stock BOSE includes 7 speakers and I have 2 JL 10w3 subs... so i guess you could say i have a 7.2 surround system, LOL
i would rather have the damn clock!

the flaming is a bit out of hand here but i agree that the front end is pretty ugly

Wrecked ricer Maxima? I'd give him $2500 for it. maybe. if i was feeling generous. And I'm not feeling generous right now.

Seriously...cheap headlights...cheap bumper...ugly kit...ugly rims with worthless tires...

The only thing i ask is whats wrong with the front bumper?

WHy is there so much excessive overhang? Otherwise, nice audio equipment.

I would love to have Dolby 5.1 in my car.. but i dont watch movies in my car so kinda pointless.. The only thing i dont like is the front bumper, and i know thats the SARONA garbage.. because I had the SARONA kit and it fits like @SS

Sorry, but if I saw that busy thing on the street I'd be ashamed

I will say, however, that the sound must be nice, even if a bit copious...

its all about taste. if he can sell it then good for him. dont hate on him. people advertise the msrp pirce a ll the time, but they never sell it at that price. Im surprised how so many maxima.org members are flaming on a fellow maxima owner. he spent $$$ on it guys and some of you guys dont even have the $$ for those things. leave him alone.

on the side note.....

i like his audio setup.

I'm just irritated cuz I come here and read and read and read some more. I don't say much cuz I don't need to.

Further more I don't need some cocky kid that asks how to shift his 6spd from one gear to the next on here flaming me so I keep my mouth shut for reasons such as this.

I love my car and come here to learn all its idiosyncrasies. I need to know my car before I can begin to help anyone with theirs.

Excuse me for being sick of all the crappy threads and the attitude that just flies around in here.

Unfortunately, some of the most knowledgeable and helpful people in here have the worst attitude.

All everyone ever does in this forum is argue!

So I'm sure some other cocky, overly opinionated, know-it-all is going to have something else to say to put me in my place. Right?!!

What a Joke!!!

again 280 billion people in the US, there are always gonna be people who likes the pink maxima with white polka dots or the smooth black max on black 19" rims. if you like it then you like it. been here for 2 years and ive learned a lot from you pros and wannabe pros. it sucks to see some of you "pros" "wannabe pros" "old age pros" bash some kid who spent time on his max. some of you might be older and smarter than me, but it doesnt take much to spot a jacka$$.

good night.

Listen sonny, get that big damn chip off your shoulder. People state opinion in here. You don't like it, go find a Holly Hobby forum to frequent. If you think a thread or post is a waste of space, then what are you doing by replying to it and stating it was a waste? Didn't seem to be that much of a waste as it did not stop you from posting in it...

I have not even attemted to put anyone "in their place". Get your facts straight.
