It is almost impossible for anyone to match the sheer silver color, even Nissan. I had my cousin lookup the code and ofcourse there are about 5 different formulas, but neither of them come out accurate. Next time I think I am getting Black or White

There are different geberal "formulas" depending on the year of the car .. i.e more sun washed/faded.

That would be why you match it with the year & paint code... I would think.

Ok, hear me out. For the KY0 paint code it comes in different formula regardless of year. When they look at your paint code they dont care about year, it is KY0 then when you go to the formula book there are about 5 different formulas. It said's on the formula "Darker then X amount more of Black", "Yellower then X amount more of Yello", etc.

What I am getting at is, be prepared that the paint might not match for Sheer Silver when they are done.

^ I've noticed that. My paint pen isn't a perfect match for my KY0 either.

Does anyone know the official name of that turqoise-green 5th gen colour that only made a brief appearance in 2002???

My bodyshop guy matched mine almost perfectly. My car buddies were impressed and now use him exclusively.

It had slightly more 'sparkle' in the paint but you could only see that super close up in the bright sunlight and for all I know that has faded and it does match 100% now. Sterling Mist.

Also, even though the color codes are the same, the actual name of the color is different. i.e. Silverstone for WV2 on the Pathfinder, and Polished Titanium for the WV2 Maxima.

Now we're done I believe.

There is a "W" right after the KYO code on my car ("KYO W"). I wonder if it has anything to do with the WV2 or if that is a separate code.
I can also say that the KYO paint pen sold by Nissan doesn't exactly match the color of my car.

That is the interior color code

G = Black
C = Beige
W = Gray

I bet it's Sheer Silver, not Polished Titanium.

Makes sense. 3 letter paint code is for exterior, after that, interior, but we knew that.
