If I remember correctly, the dealer sells them at around $300 a wheel, tires not included. Absolutely insane.

They are actually $575 EACH at the dealer. And AZN, about 900, that woud be a wild guess, especially since 1/3 the tread is effectively gone.

I wish some nice soul would be kind enough to grace me with a set of the '00/'01 17" SE wheels for $600.00. I know I'm probably dreaming, but hey...

Just wish I had more in my budget for these things.

You're right. I definitely misquoted the extremely high dealer price.

Anyways, I made sure someone bought my rims first before I got my Tantrums since availability of funds was a concern. At the time, there seemed to be a boom of buyers because someone sold their SE rims for $1400 on eBay (I think he's a .Org member) so I figured I'd try to do the same. Sadly, my sale didn't come close but I did end up getting about $1K for them...not bad IMO.

AWB: You can try your luck. Mine had 200 miles on them and that's how I fetched. I'm sure someone's interested, just make sure there are 3 or 4 other people trying to sell their rims at the same time.

Kenny: Maybe AWB will sell you his after his treads wear down to 1%?

maxse01: Good job on the auction. I see that you're up to $940 already. Almost there to the magical $1000.

Shoot, I'll take just the wheels if someone will offer a set to me for $600.00.

I was checking out www.aaarims.com and they have a monthly special running right now for a set of new reproductions of the stock 17" wheels plus aftermarket caps for $750.00. That's not too bad. Anyone ever have dealings with AAA Rims and/or with reproduction/replica rims?
