LED bulbs in taillights

has anyone tried this? does it present a different kind of lighting? is it worth getting or should i stick with my oem bulbs?
Oh and does anyone make a 1157 bulb that shines white but blinks amber?

piaa makes a pretty crazy mirror bulb 1157. Kinda pricey, but looks frickin sweet. Have it in my max

I bought L.E.D. bulbs for my max and they make a huge difference plus they are clear but blink amber or red go to www.autolumination.com

i ordered some LED 921 9-tip bulbs for my sidemarkers and haven't come in yet. i'll let you know, they're going to be brighter than that dinky 194 bulb.

Don't forget to get the in-line load equalizers from them too. Otherwise you'll end up with "bulb out" indicators and ghey fast-blinking turn signals. I think the last set of LED's I got from autolumination were through e-bay. Better deal than was on their website.

I'm still using regular bulbs with the stock colored lenses for most of my rear lights, but I have replaced the lights above my license plate and my reverse lights with white LEDs, and they look much better than stock. The reverse lights are now VERY white instead of the off-white of the standard bulbs, and they are slightly brighter than stock.
