At the street races the other night. A black 5G Max, 5spd, 17" rims, GXE with tape over the rear lamps to make it look like the SE Taillamps, and slightly lowered, otherwise stock for performance mods...against me in my 18" equipped, 5spd, GXE, Y-pipe, removed resonator, and K&N drop-in...and the ALL important OSCAI.

I got him on the launch and was half a car length ahead. Second gear, walked away from him, third... it was all over. The upper RPMs really pulled hard compared to his Max (which it should)...So now I'm kinda happy I got the y-pipe...i probably only won cause of the OSCAI though...

Hehe... was wondering what was next on the list after the RSB. Now I think I know. God, I pray it really IS a bolt-on!

Cheers!

What type of Y-Pipe do you have...Stillen or Cattman? Are you getting that "bees in the can" sound? Which emmissions system do you have ie. all four or just 3 and 4? I can't say "nice kill" on this one since it was Max practice mode :-)

Stillen y-pipe. No bees. it sounds pretty nice actually. Cold idle sounds pretty throaty and has a nice growl. Warm idle, it's hardly noticable. Sweep past 3000rpm to redline, it get this nice almost Ferrari 355 sound...quite nice!

OSCAI POWER!

Hey Rtic, think of it this way... if you order the Stillen Y-pipe, you'll have one less bolt to "bolt-on"!

Really though, it would be nice to see my "twin" order up a Y-pipe. It is by far the biggest performance pop per dollar on my car. If you'd like to see dyno results, mine are at:

BTW, I also added pics of my Max at:

Only kinda happy you got the Y-pipe, SCCA Solo2 ? Is there a part of you that isn't COMPLETELY happy you got it? Bees in a can perhaps? And if you've got bees, have you taken the time to vote in the latest Y-pipe poll? Go to:

welcome to the board I would suggest going through the sticky threads up at the top of the forum, especially the FAQ and using the search feature. If you have any questions though, feel free to ask. BTW, the OSCAI is a do-it-yourself cold air intake.
