97 gle to 01 AE SUPER CHARGED!!!!
Well what seemed to be the worst thing that has happened to me in a while has sure turned out pretty bad ***. On labor day weekend my 97 max was totalled on my way home to see my family. (accordianed between two other cars) My roomate and i were fine but the guy in front of me had a tube steel bike rack that did quite a number in my front end. Well to make a long story short, after racing around the net for about a week i finally found it. A 2001 black on grey SE AE 5-speed that just happend to be supercharged w/ only 66k but it was in VA and im in MO. Well i had it shipped and when it got here i realized i had bought one hell of a machine. Not only does it have a stillen vortec V2 already in it but along with y-pipe, full exhaust, tokico HPs, and some spring setup (no sure what kind). Im pretty sure its got a aftermarket clutch because it is stiff as hell. The release point is very very low. I adjusted the hydralic cylinder rod that comes through the firewall to give me some room to work but im not sure where i should have it. I have never driven a stock 5-speed max so i don't really have anything to compare it to. Is the stock max clutch known for being very stiff? Let me know. With that said, this thing freakin screams. I can't wait to get a dyno run in as soon as i recover financially. There goes my savings. Well worth it. I 'll try to got some pics up soon. supercharged....mmmmmmmm

Actually i found her on autotrader. I still have a ton of reading to do about the SC though. Anyone know about belt life on this thing? How do you even begin to get access to change the damn thing? I just made my engine compartement 10x more cramped than it used to be....for 300hp of course. I make sacrifices what can i say...
