does anybody have any info on gxe/gle/se for the 00-03 models,

that i can learn to tell the difference between the model,

 

You could probably compile it using www.edmunds.com

 

GXE= Base Model-Ugly cloth/Hubcap/tape deck
GLE=Fully loaded Model-Leather/Bose/rims/climate control
SE=Sport Model -Rims/Sunroof/Sport Suspension

 

also GLE is always auto

 

However, if you're planning to heavily mod your car.. get a gxe..
mine was ugly and plain.. but after a few thousand dollars.. the price difference between a gxe and a se.. i made it look how i want it..
custom leather interior,
rims, body kit, intake, y pipe.. bla bla bla

 

he's right, the GXE is a cheaper alternative if your gonna do a lot of aftermarket stuff soon after you buy it, the SE is good if your gonna stay stock for a while though. its a nice sportier looking car, available 5 or 6 speed (6 02 and 03) black or cleared tails which look better than the all red ones in my opinion, sunroof, leather, spoiler, white gauges, 17's. the GLE is more luxurious, you can get traction control, navigation, heated steering wheel etc.

 

question...does the SE all come with sunroof? the one i was about to buy was a 2002 black SE and it didn't have a sunroof...but it was sold so i found the white one that i got now. kinda glad i got the sunroof tho hah

 

I don't think they do necessarily. Mine has one, but Tim's (Semy2k2go) doesn't.

 

I'm guessing the sunroof is an option on both SE and GLE models, because my friend just bought a GLE, has everything (including a cd changer) except heated seats and a sunroof, this is a 2001 GLE also. Compared to my SE, which has sunroof, heated seats, but no bose (thank god :-p).

 

Joel mine dosnet either, i got a 2002 SE, They are called base model SE which got no Sunroof or Bose

 

Your freind got Ripped off A sunroof is standard option on all GLE'S. The heated seats iam not sure...

 

because some off the model that i saw didn't have a badge on them,

so couldn't tell if they were a gle/gxe/se

 

hey people i bought a 2001 maxima gxe nut it cam with rims cd and tape player power seat rear view dimmer controler on stearing wheel

 

I bought a 2k GXE and i was able to get the car the way i wanted it for less than the price of the SE model.
